A Class promotion for 1995 Neftegorsk earthquake
[edit]According to WP:A?, when there is not a formal process to assess A class, it requires the support of at least two uninvolved editors without significant opposes. This is to let you know know that I have started a discussion for whether to upgrade the 1995 Neftegorsk earthquake to A. I hope to hear feedback. Thanks, SamBroGaming (talk) 01:07, 26 December 2024 (UTC)

Proposing the Draft:Feodorovsky Gorodok with source issues
[edit]Hi everyone, I would like to submit this draft about a historical place linked to the Tsar Nicholas II and its family, especially in the years of WWI: it is the place where an hospital was organized and where the empress Alexandra and its 4 daughters were employed as Red Cross nurses for two and half years, until the February 1917 revolution. We have plenty of photos of them and I already inserted also a gallery, selecting for now the most representative ones... but the problem relies on the sources and references: at the moment I inserted some sources, mainly divided into two types:
- some of institutional catalogs of important places in russia, to certify that this place really exists (with already some introductory text to it);
- one from an important blog about the Romanov and related things, with some articles to certify many details about it: this is an important blog, with even a second domain name. It is a trusted sources among us Romanov lovers.
The reviewer @Lemonaka said that he cannot verify if the sources are reliable or not, not knowing the russian language. Someone here from the project may know it and verify these sources, so that I can put some inline link and ultimately re-send the draft for review? Thanks a lot to everyone listening. :) -- LucaLindholm (talk) 15:44, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- @LucaLindholm, the blog you're using is a self-published source. It's maintained by certain Paul Gilbert. Assuming this is true, you can probably make an argument that he's an expert and therefore it's an admissible source per WP:SELFPUBLISHED.
- However, I'd suggest using sources that would leave no room for doubt. It's likely that it will take less time than arguing about the merits of the blog. Searching for Фёдоровский Городок on Google Books produces several results that seem pertinent (Двор российских императоров. Энциклопедия жизни и быта, Взрослый мир императорских резиденций - both by Igor Zimin and Ратная палата. Исторический очерк). Alaexis¿question? 21:32, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
