Hello: Some of your edits prompt these tips: (1) Displayed TeX should be indented by a preceeding colon, like this:

not like this:

(2) There is no need to write subspaces, since subspaces has the same effect. (Similarly apocryphal, etc.) Michael Hardy 21:17, 16 Jun 2004 (UTC)

You're not the only one who's questioned this. See Talk:Suffix (name). I've made an edit. Cheers Quill 22:49, 2 Dec 2004 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on William Floyd (mathematician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello ComplexZeta! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 15 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the unreferencedBLP tag. Here is the article:

 1. William Floyd (mathematician) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
